Garage[]

DS Garage

Garage screen

The Garage is where you'll spend most of your time when not racing. Here, you can perform several different actions (from left to right):

  • Car List - change your currently active car to another in your lineup
  • Change Parts - install various parts onto your currently active car
  • Upgrade Parts - upgrade car parts in your current inventory
  • Merge Cars - merge similar cars together to improve car performance/rating
  • Customise - change car color, wheels/rims, spoiler, etc.
  • Exchange - buy cars with "tokens", sell cars to obtain "tokens", or sell cars and parts for coins
  • Car Storage - storing some unused cars, or retrieving it back to garage
  • Garage Background - change garage backgrounds with any theme provided.

Car List[]

DS+CarList

Car List screen

The Car List screen displays your current car inventory. This screen allows you to switch your currently active car, provided you own more than 1 car. Your cars are sorted by default from left to right by car rating in descending order. You may also re-sort your car inventory by selecting a different value from the drop list. A few examples of the other sorting options are Make, Top Speed, Acceleration, Handling, among many others.

Change Parts[]

DS ChangeParts1

Change Parts (engine, transmission, tires, nitrous)

DS ChangeParts2

Change Parts [cont'd] (ECU, "free", "free")

The Change Parts screen allows you to swap out different parts to either upgrade or downgrade your active car's performance. Parts are categorized under 6 different parts groups:

  • Engine - affects the top speed rating
  • Transmission - affects the acceleration rating
  • Tires - affects the handling rating
  • Nitrous - affects the boost in speed when nitrous is triggered during a race
  • ECU - affects the amount of gasoline consumed per race
  • "Free" - allows you to install up to two different parts that affect top speed, acceleration, and handling. Two different "free" parts that affect the same rating can be installed.
    • Muffler/Turbo - affects the top speed rating
    • Clutch/Driveshaft - affects the acceleration rating
    • Strut Bar/Suspension - affects the handling rating

Installation Waiting Period[]

Installing or swapping out a part introduces a short waiting period, which will prevent the car being fitted from being used in races until the waiting period completes. The length of the waiting period varies depending on the level of the part being swapped, and the number of parts being swapped. The waiting period can be negated by using a Parts Ticket (gold ticket with a wrench symbol).

Part Size[]

Each part has a "size" which determines whether it can be installed on your car. Above each part category is a number

Cant install

Red message warning that part is too big.

which indicates the max size part that can be installed (example: 0 / 3 denotes a size 1, 2, or 3 part can be installed). For a 3 star car with no merges, the max size part that can be installed under all parts categories is size 3. The size of a part is determined by the number in the blue square to the bottom left of each car part. If the size of the part exceeds the max size your car can equip, the part will be marked in red as "over". In order to increase the max size that your car can accommodate, perform a Car Merge.

Quick Install/Quick Uninstall[]

QuickInstall

Provided buttons either to quick install or quick uninstall parts

Regarding the two grey buttons at the top of this screen, the left button performs a quick install, while the right button performs a quick uninstall. The quick install attempts to install parts across all categories based on your current inventory to maximize your overall car rating. Note: this may uninstall parts from different cars in order to install into your currently active car. The quick uninstall removes all currently equipped parts from your currently active car.

Upgrade Parts[]

This screen allows you to upgrade your current parts to either increase their level or increase the size of the part. Increasing the part's level increases the stat of the part (i.e. increases the part's top speed rating), while increasing the part's size increases the max level of the part.

DS UpgradeParts1

Upgrade Parts screen

Increasing Part Level[]

The level of each part can be increased by:

  1. Selecting the base part to level up (grey button on bottom left of screen)
  2. Selecting the parts to use to level up the base part (grey button on the bottom center of screen)
  3. Confirming the level up action (green button on the bottom right)
DS UpgradeParts2

Upgrading an engine with other engine parts

Up to 10 parts can be selected to level up the base part. When the process completes, the base part will either increase in one or more levels (depending on the parts used to level up the base part), or gain

points towards a level up (happens if the parts used to level up the base part are much lower level compared to the base part, e.g. trying to level up a size 10 part with a size 1 part).

The upgrade seems to be more effective if the base part and the parts used for the upgrade are of the same type, e.g. upgrading an engine with other engines. I can't confirm if this is truly the case. In alternative to missing parts you can use toolboxes which are compatible with all parts, however this will be far more expensive.

The part upgrade uses the in-game coin currency, and the cost of the upgrade is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. The cost of the upgrade is based on the level of the base part, and the number of parts being used to upgrade the base part. For example, the cost of leveling up a level 1 engine with 10 parts comes out to 500 coins (50 coins x 10 parts), while leveling up a level 89 engine with 3 parts comes out to 13350 coins (4450 coins x 3 parts).

Increasing Part Size[]

When you have two max level parts of the same type and size, you have the option to combine them together to increase the part size to the next level. An example is having two level 10 engine parts that are both size 1, and combining them together to create a size 2 engine. The resulting part starts at a lower level than the level of the parts being combined.

This concept becomes increasingly more useful with higher sized parts (size 8 and higher), as these are harder to come by through the CP shop (they're a little bit more abundant in the other shops, but those shops require special currency earned through races or by IAP).

Merge Cars[]

Upgrade3

Upgrading process.

The process of upgrading cars through merging is used to improve the general performance and max potential of the car, therefore increasing the battle power. This also unlocks different visual options for your car. To upgrade a car you need multiple cars of the same model. Each merge will add a green point to your final merged car. A car can be upgraded twice until the green points slots are full.

Upon upgrading a maxed car, your merged car will be an evolved car with one more star rating than before. This process can be repeated until your car reaches six stars rating. Some cars upon star upgrade will change their visual.

For the purposes of this Wiki, each evolution of a car will be referred to as its "stage". Each car (as far as we can tell so far) has 4 different stages. The

Upgrade4

Uprating the car

stage of the car can be identified by the perspective of the car in its picture in the various menu screens.

  • Stage 1
    • Car Picture: Full-front perspective
    • Dress Up Options available
      • Body Paint (up to 5 colors)
  • Stage 2
    • Car Picture: Front-quarter left perspective of player
    • Dress Up Options available
      • Vinyl (on or off)
  • Stage 3
    • Car Picture: Rear-quarter left perspective of player
    • Dress Up Options available
      • New vinyl (on or off)
      • Rear Spoiler (up to 3 types)
  • Stage 4
    • Car Picture: Front-quarter right perspective of player
    • Dress Up Options available
      • Second permanent vinyl (on or off)
      • Aero Parts (up to 3 types; front & rear spoiler combination)

Example Merge process (Fairlady Z Z34)[]

Z34merge0
  • Starting Car: Fairlady Z Z34
    • Star Rating: 5 Stars
    • Car Stage: Stage 1
    • Merge Points: 0 out of 2
    • Max Part Size that can be installed
      • Engine/Transmission/Tires/Nitrous/ECU: Size 13
      • Free: Size 9
    • "Dress Up" options available:
      • Body Paint Colors (Silver, White, Yellow, Blue, Red)
Merge1

First upgrade of Z34, note the '+' on the corner

Purchase another Fairlady Z Z34 (must be another Stage 1 Z Z34), and merge with your starting car, resulting in an upgraded Stage 1 Nissan Fairlady Z Z34 (Improved car stats and max potential):

  • Star Rating: 5 Stars
  • Car Stage: Stage 1
  • Merge Points: 1 out of 2
  • Max Part Size that can be installed
    • Engine/Transmission/Tires/Nitrous/ECU: Size 14
    • Free: Size 9
Merge2

Second upgrade of Z34, note the '++' on the right corner

Purchase another Nissan Fairlady Z Z34 (again, must be another Stage 1 Z Z34), and merge with your recently upgraded Stage 1 Nissan Fairlady Z Z34, resulting in another upgraded Stage 1 Nissan Fairlady Z Z34 (improved car stats and max potential):

  • Star Rating: 3 Stars
  • Car Stage: Stage 1
  • Merge Points: 2 out of 2
  • Max Part Size that can be installed
    • Engine/Transmission/Tires/Nitrous/ECU: Size 15
    • Free: Size 9

Purchase one more Nissan Fairlady Z Z34 (again, must be another Stage 1 Z Z34), and merge with your recently upgraded Stage 1 Nissan 240Z, resulting in a Stage 2 NIssan 240Z (body paint color selection goes back to the default 3 colors, vinyl option is unlocked, gasoline consumption per race increases, and improved car stats and max potential):

  • Star Rating: 6 Stars
  • Car Stage: Stage 2
  • Merge Points: 0 out of 2
  • Max Part Size that can be installed
    • Engine/Transmission/Tires/Nitrous/ECU: Size 18
    • Free: Size 12
  • "Dress Up" options available:
    • Aero Set (Aero A)
    • Vinyl (on or off)

From this point forward, following the same process outlined above will continue the same car upgrade progression, though you can only perform additional merges with Stage 2 Z Z34s. When your car hits Stage 3, you'll only be able to merge it with other Stage 3 Z Z34s.

Helpful Tips[]

  • Merges are expensive. The cost of merging two Stage 1 of 3 star cars is 7000 gold coins, and the cost of each subsequent merge increases by 1000-2000 coins.
  • When you have a car that has 2 out of 2 merge points, and you want to merge one more to bring that car to the next stage, be sure to have one additional car at the same current stage prior to the merge.
    • Example: Stage 1 Z Z34 with 2 merge points, and you have one more Stage 1 Z Z34 ready to merge in. Ensure you have one additional Stage 1 Z Z34 (so you'll have 3 cars total - the Z Z34 that's ready to move to the next stage, and 2 other Stage 1 Z Z34s). That way, when you merge two of them together, you still have a Stage 1 Z Z34 to assist with cheaper purchases through the Exchange menu (more on that in the Exchange section below).
  • Keep in mind that moving your car to the next stage increases its gasoline consumption per race by around 100 points. If possible, have a high level ECU on-hand (one that can be installed with your next stage car that couldn't be installed previously) to offset the increased gas cost. Nothing worse than going from 7 races per gas tank to 3-5 races per gas tank. You'll feel it most for those races that have 2x gas consumption (e.g. Boss Battles, leaderboard/event races, make/model races, drivetrain type races, etc.).

Dress Up[]

The Dress Up screen allows you to change visual aspects of your car. The following dress up categories are available from this menu:

  • Body Paint Color (select from up to 5 different colors)
  • Vinyl/Sticker (toggle on or off)
  • Rear Spoiler (select from up to 3 different types)
  • Wheels/Rims (select default or from the wheel/rim options you've unlocked through event races)
  • Aero Parts (select from up to 3 different types; replaces Rear Spoiler option)
  • Ride Height and Camber Setup (select from highest/lowest ride hight to adjusting camber)

These changes are purely cosmetic, and do not increase or decrease the performance of your car during races.

Some cars can only have rim dress up or unable to choose colors but still having opt to change rims and adjusting ride height with cambers. Mostly are cars from collaboration events or exclusive series.

Exchange[]

Exchange-0

The Exchange screen allows the exchange of in-game currency for cars/parts, and vice versa. The following options are available from this menu:

  • Red section
    • Exchange cars for tokens (top button)
    • Exchange tokens for cars (bottom button)
  • Blue section
    • Exchange cars for gold coins (top button)
    • Exchange parts for gold coins (bottom button)

Exchange Cars for tokens[]

Cartotoken

Car to Tokens

This option is one of three ways to obtain the token in-game currency (other two options being weekly S rank prizes and event prizes). You are only able to sell cars in your current inventory. Be cautious when using this option, as you cannot purchase back any cars that you mistakenly sell (like selling off your level 50 D1 prize car).

Car-to-token exchange rates are based on the star rating and merge points of the car - 3 star cars with no merge points yield 1 token, while 6 star cars with 2 merge points yield 192 tokens.

Carstomedal

Exchange tokens for Cars[]

This option allows you to purchase cars in exchange for the token in-game currency. The selection of cars available for purchase is limited to the cars in your current inventory; if you don't have a particular car in your inventory, you won't be able to purchase it.

MedaltoCar

Insufficient amount of tokens to trade for a car.

token-to-Car exchange rates are based on the star rating of the car being purchased - 3 star cars cost 5 tokens, while 6 star cars cost 2000 tokens. Clicking the button in the upper left corner of the screen displays the full exchange rate.

Note: It is vastly cheaper to exchange tokens for Stage 1 cars and merging/evolving them into Stage 2 or Stage 3 cars, rather than exchanging the tokens for a Stage 2 or Stage 3 car.

Example: The exchange rate for a Stage 2 Nissan Z Z34 is 2000 tokens, while the exchange rate for 4 Stage 1 Nissan Z Z34s is 1200 tokens total. You can merge/evolve a Stage 2 Nissan Z Z34 with 1 merge point (and have 2 Stage 1 Nissan Z Z34s leftover) for the same exchange rate as a Stage 2 Nissan Z Z34 direct from this shop.

Exchange Cars for Gold Coins[]

This option allows you to sell cars for the gold coin in-game currency. The selling price of each car is displayed on the car picture, and appears to be influenced by the car's star rating and merge points.

Note: This option is not a preferred method to "sell" off your cars, as the gold coin in-game currency is easily obtained by competing in races. The better option for "selling" cars is by exchanging cars for tokens, as tokens are much harder to obtain.

Exchange Parts for Gold Coins[]

This option allows you to sell parts for the gold coin in-game currency. The selling price of each part is displayed on the part picture, and appears to be influenced by the part's type, star rating, size, and current level.

Note: This option is not a preferred method to "sell" off your parts, as the gold coin in-game currency is easily obtained by competing in races. It's more valuable to use unwanted parts to either level up higher sized parts in your inventory or max out their levels to increase the size of the part.
